Sengi Solar Announced the Development of a New Solar Panel Factory in Pernambuco That Promises to Generate Hundreds of New Job Opportunities for Residents of the Recife Region.
Pernambuco will gain a new factory located in the municipality of Ipojuca, in the Metropolitan Region of Recife. The company Sengi Solar, a Brazilian manufacturer of photovoltaic generators, plans to invest R$ 220 million in its manufacturing unit of solar panels. Construction has already begun, and the estimate is that the unit will start operations in March of next year. According to the company, when completed, the solar panel unit will generate around 250 direct jobs.
Sengi Factory Will Produce 3,000 Solar Panels Per Day
Alongside the Pernambuco unit, the company is finalizing the construction of a unit in the municipality of Cascavel, in Paraná, with an approximate investment value, generating hundreds of jobs. The factory in the South is expected to be completed later this year.
With the inauguration of the two factories, the company plans to increase its revenue from R$ 400 million projected for this year to R$ 1.2 billion in 2023.

The project in Pernambuco will have an annual production capacity of around 1 GW in solar energy equipment, corresponding to the production of more than 3,000 solar panels per day, each with a line of automated and high-tech processes.
New Solar Panels Will Be Enrolled in the Finame System
The equipment will have power ratings between 440 watts and 670 watts, which are among the highest in the international market and will be developed with bifacial and double glass technologies, enabling the capture of solar energy on both the lower and upper parts of the solar panels.
The solar energy modules produced in the new factories in Pernambuco and Paraná will be enrolled in the Finame system, part of the strategy used by Sengi Solar for the Brazilian market.
This is because the system offers a more attractive line of credit through BNDES and makes feasible the projects for self-generated solar energy on rooftops and small plots of land in the country.
Sengi Unit Will Produce Above the Practices of the Brazilian Industry
According to the General Director of Sengi Solar, Everton Fardin, the proposal is to fully meet the demand for growth in the domestic solar energy market and provide a national product to the more than 80 distributors of photovoltaic equipment operating in Brazil, with short delivery times, Brazilian after-sales service, and cutting-edge technology.
As its factories are designed within the concept of Industry 4.0, Sengi will have a production pace far above that practiced in the Brazilian industry, averaging more than 3,000 solar panels developed per day.
