Serica Renews Service Contract With Odfjell Technology

Odfjell Technology Received Two-Year Contract Extension from Serica Energy to Provide Storage on the Bruce Platform in the North Sea.

Odfjell Technology announced the extension of its contract with Serica Energy for the provision of various services on the Bruce platform, located in the North Sea off the coast of the UK. With the extension, the contract will now be valid until November 2025, ensuring the continuity of storage, preservation, maintenance, and drilling services on the platform.

Stuart Sutherland, Country Manager for the UK, emphasized the importance of this contract extension by stating: ‘This contract extension demonstrates the ongoing commitment between our companies in supporting the Bruce platform. Looking ahead, we see this as an opportunity for Odfjell Technology to support future operations through the integration of our three business areas, providing a streamlined service delivery. This pact reinforces our strategic partnership and our ability to meet customer needs efficiently and effectively.’

Service Contract Signed for the Bruce Field

The Bruce field is a producing asset located in blocks 9/9a, 9/8a, and 9/9b in the northern North Sea.

Average production of about 7,200 boe/d liquids for Serica in the first half of 2023. Gas is exported through the Frigg pipeline to St. Fergus Terminal and liquids are exported via the Forties Pipeline System.

Partners include operator Serica with a 98% stake, as well as BP and Total, each with 1%.
