One of the main differentiators of the new model will be its integration with the Starlink Mini Kit — a portable and more economical version of the equipment, aimed at users who need mobile connectivity or in remote areas. The Gen 4 router will feature a compact design and will be optimized to consume less power, an important feature for applications in locations with limited electrical infrastructure.

Enhanced Connectivity with Wi-Fi 6 and Support for the Next Generation of Satellites

Although it maintains the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard, the Gen 4 distinguishes itself by supporting wider frequency bands. This will allow for greater connection stability and faster transfer rates, especially in environments with many devices connected simultaneously. The router is also being developed to work alongside the V3 satellites of the Starlink constellation, which will offer significantly higher capacity per beam, as well as lower latency.

The production of the new flat antenna is already underway, according to sources close to the company. This information, combined with the recent registration of the router model identified as UTR-251 with the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), suggests that the launch of the Gen 4 and new access kits is near.
