Stellantis Revolutionizes The Market: New Ram Pickup Will Be Produced In Brazil!
Vehicle manufacturer Stellantis announced that the factory in Goiana, Pernambuco, will produce its first Ram pickup manufactured in Brazil. According to Forbes, the production of this new pickup consolidates the industrial complex as a multi-brand plant, joining the Jeep Renegade, Jeep Compass, Jeep Commander, and Fiat Toro models. The new Ram pickup will be produced in a high-tech environment, with highly skilled labor and constant investments in innovation.
Consolidated Production In Goiana, Pernambuco
The Stellantis automotive hub in Goiana is a large plant, with 18 suppliers installed within the company’s perimeter. Together, they generate over 14,000 jobs, making it an important job creation center in the region. The factory has produced about 1.4 million cars over the past eight years, supplying the domestic market and exporting to countries in Latin America, such as Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, and Mexico. The operation is carried out from the Port of Suape and has already exported 187,000 units to these locations.
First Ram Pickup Produced In Brazil
The new Ram pickup was developed with over two thousand hours of virtual analysis, between process and product, to ensure high quality and advanced production technology. For the production of the new model, optimization projects for the logistics area and the application of collaborative robots integrated into the production process have been implemented. The local team led the updates, both in the infrastructure of the production line and in the qualification of about 1,300 employees, with approximately 700 hours of training.

Economic Impact In The State
Since the establishment of the Industrial Park, Goiana has shown annual gains in its participation in the economy of Pernambuco. According to a study conducted by Ceplan – Economic Consulting and Planning, the municipality moved from the 13th position in 2010, with 0.83% of the state GDP, to the 4th position in 2019, reaching 5.17% of the Pernambuco GDP. The area of influence of the hub, formed by 13 municipalities, had an annual growth rate of 6.3%. About 21% of the employees are residents of Goiana and 50% are from other surrounding cities.
