TotalEnergies and Technip Energies Have Closed an Agreement to Explore New Technologies and Concepts to Reduce Their Carbon Footprint in Their Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Facilities and in the Offshore Market
TotalEnergies, the French Oil Company, has entered into an agreement with Technip Energies aimed at creating low-carbon solutions for the production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and in the offshore industry. The two companies stated that they will study and analyze new technologies and concepts with the goal of reducing the carbon footprint of their facilities.

In addition to reducing the carbon footprint of existing offshore facilities, Technip and TotalEnergies will also focus on greenfield projects in specific areas, such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) production, hydrogen production and use for energy, cryogenics, capture and generation processes, and Carbon Storage and Utilization.
According to Arnaud Breuillac, President of TotalEnergies Exploration and Production, for the company as a liquefied natural gas (LNG) player, this agreement will bring opportunities to generate even more innovation and further strengthen the two companies’ experience in reducing pollutant gas emissions in their facilities, improving the energy efficiency of their LNG and offshore assets, and developing new technologies such as hydrogen.
