Undoubtedly, Shell is one of the major global players in the exploratory and productivity segment of fossil fuels. In Brazil, it faces the technological duel of searching, identifying, and locating oil sources (Upstream) with a cool demeanor.
When the oil and gas market opened to the private sector in the Campos Basin, Shell was one of the pioneers in the production of these hydrocarbons. Nowadays, it operates two floating units at full capacity in the Campos Basin (FPSO Espírito Santo and FPSO Fluminense) and recently won the bidding to participate and explore in the Libra consortium.
It also transports, distributes, and markets petroleum derivatives (Downstream) with a strong focus on the direct trade of lubricants, Marine Raízen, sugar, ethanol, and electricity generation.
Do You Want to Work at Shell?
As you all know, the oil and gas sector is a brutally restricted field and difficult to access, but not impossible to enter this market despite the crisis we are currently experiencing (see the date of this post).
