Registrations for the public contest of the Emergency Service (SAMU) have been extended. Read the article and check details of the exam and how to register for the selection process of the entity.
People interested in joining the Samu team must stay alert, as registrations for the entity’s contest have been opened and those who have not yet registered have the chance to participate in the exam.
According to the announcement, candidates now have until April 10 to register for the Samu contest, which has tests scheduled to take place on May 5. A total of nearly 500 positions are available.
According to the announcement, in addition to positions for individuals who completed higher education, the Samu contest also has vacancies for individuals who only completed high school or those who have taken technical courses.

Before presenting the positions, it is important to highlight that these opportunities are for the Intermunicipal Health Consortium of the Urgency and Emergency Network of Eastern Minas (Consurge), in Minas Gerais. High School/Technical Level
- Administrative Assistant – 2 vacancies;
- Medical Regulation Assistant – 26 vacancies;
- Driver – 2 vacancies;
- Fleet Operator – 11 vacancies;
- Pharmacy Assistant – 1 vacancy;
- Occupational Safety Technician – 2 vacancies;
- Rescue Driver – 162 vacancies;
- Nursing Technician – 130 vacancies.
Complete Higher Education
- Administrative Assistant – 6 vacancies;
- Accountant – 1 vacancy;
- Pharmacist – 1 vacancy;
- Psychologist – 1 vacancy;

Requirements and Salaries of the Approved
To participate in the contest, the interested party must be over 18 years old, be in compliance with the law, possess the minimum entry requirements necessary for performing the function, not receive retirement benefits, not have been dismissed from public service, and meet other requirements specified in the announcement.
Once the requirements are met and candidates are approved in the contest, they will have access to salaries ranging from R$ 1,455.94 to R$ 8,386.23. This, of course, depends on the position and work schedule.
The Selection Steps
The first stage of the Samu contest will be the objective test, which will be eliminatory. This will consist of 45 multiple-choice questions covering the following topics:
- Portuguese Language;
- Regulations of SAMU;
- Basic Computer Knowledge;
- Logical Reasoning;
- Public Administration;
- Public Health;
- And Specific Knowledge.
After this, some positions will have a title assessment that is classificatory and a practical test that is eliminatory and classificatory.
How to Register
Individuals interested in participating in the Samu contest and thus having the chance to work at the entity must register on the website of the organizing body of the contest, IBGE. To complete the registration, a fee ranging from R$ 70 to R$ 170 must be paid, depending on the position desired by the candidate.
