The system offers any person, whether affiliated with Cartão de Todos or not, a discount on the price of cooking gas. For the 13 million members of Cartão de Todos, recurring purchases generate, in addition to the discount on cooking gas, the benefit of cashback, which can be used and tracked through the app Cartão de Todos.
Only members of Cartão de Todos will be able to redeem and use the accumulated money; however, those who are not members of the card can still accumulate cashback and redeem the amount in the future if they become members of the card. The project of both companies involves all the cities served by the Ultragaz app, numbering around 1,500 cities.

Vice President of Cartão de Todos Speaks Out
The initiative of both companies arose from a survey conducted by Cartão de Todos among its members regarding their recurring consumer products. Among the products, cooking gas was one of the most mentioned. Taking this information into account, the company sought a partnership with Ultragaz, which is one of the main companies recalled by consumers when purchasing the product.
The partnership began at the end of 2020 and solidified only this year. The association between Cartão de Todos and Ultragaz was validated through a pilot project implemented in some cities across the country, where the results were positive for the product launch, with high consumption and adherence. The company’s vice president, Tales Vilar, states that it was decided to offer a discount on cooking gas due to its importance for its members.
The initiative emphasizes the purpose of being a generator of positive impact and a facilitator of access in various sectors of Brazilian families’ economic lives, going beyond the areas of health, leisure, and education, which have already been addressed by the company.
Other Initiatives to Lower Cooking Gas Prices
Together with the Petrobras Social Observatory (OSP), the National Federation of Oil Workers (FNP) sold cooking gas for R$ 60 on the 2nd of this month in cities in the states of SP, RJ, and PA.
The movement of the two entities is part of the campaign “Petrobras for Brazilians,” which fights against the state-owned company’s policy of setting its product prices in Brazil according to import prices.
The initiative is named National Fair Gas Day, and more than 1,050 units of cooking gas were sold at a fairer and more accessible price for consumers, who struggle to purchase one of the household products that has increased the most in recent months.
