Sting MX5 Pro by Talaria Combines Design, Performance, and Price Similar to Those of a Motorcycle, Even Though It Is an Electric Bicycle
Electric bicycles are evolving rapidly, to the point where some already resemble motorcycles in both design and performance. An example of this is the Sting MX5 Pro, an off-road electric bicycle from Talaria, which surprises with its powerful motor, robust structure, and price comparable to that of a motorcycle. The model is designed for challenging terrain and is already available for purchase, according to the Olhar Digital website.
Bicycle or Motorcycle? The Difference Is in the Details
Although the Sting MX5 Pro has a look reminiscent of a motorcycle, it is officially classified as an electric bicycle. This distinction allows the model to be ridden without the need for a license, which attracts many enthusiasts. But the power it offers is worth noting:
- Central motor of 5.5 kW, with peaks of up to 13.44 kW, and impressive torque of 500 Nm;
- The maximum speed is limited to 32 km/h for urban use, but can be unlocked to reach up to 80 km/h in off-road adventures;
- It features three riding modes and four adjustable braking levels, providing a customized experience depending on the terrain and riding style.
Autonomy and High-Performance Battery
The Sting MX5 Pro is equipped with a 72V battery, composed of Samsung 21700 cells, which provides a range of up to 100 km at moderate speeds of 25 km/h. The range decreases as speed increases, especially on uneven terrain, but still, the e-bike remains efficient and reliable for long journeys.

Robust Structure and Innovative Design
The design of the Sting MX5 Pro is another point that sets it apart from traditional bicycles. Instead of conventional pedals, the model uses non-slip pedals in BMX style, which reflects its more aggressive, off-road-oriented design. The structure is made of 6061 T4/T6 aluminum alloy, a combination with magnesium and silicon that ensures high corrosion resistance and flexibility, ideal for withstanding the wear of trails and difficult terrains.
In addition, the model includes:
- Comfortable seat of 84 cm, perfect for long adventures;
- Adjustable frame and 19-inch wheels;
- High-precision hydraulic brakes and rear shock absorber to absorb impacts;
- Integrated LED headlight, ensuring safety in low visibility conditions.
Bicycle Price, Motorcycle Performance
If the performance and design of the Sting MX5 Pro are already impressive, the price also follows this trend, coming closer to the cost of a motorcycle than that of a conventional electric bicycle. Talaria has priced the model at US$ 4,700 (about R$ 26,500), an amount that reflects both its advanced technology and its appeal to the off-road audience.
The model is already available in China, and sales have recently expanded to the United States and Hawaii. At the moment, the bicycle appears as unavailable at the Luna Cycle store, but its high demand is a clear indication of its success in the market.
