Money forgotten in the old PIS/Pasep fund can be claimed by workers who worked with a formal contract between 1971 and 1988 or by civil servants from that period, with consultation via Repis Cidadão, the FGTS app, and Caixa branches.
Caixa Econômica Federal released, on Monday (27), a new batch of payments of the forgotten money by workers in old PIS/Pasep fund accounts. The benefit involves resources from the Social Integration and Public Servant Heritage Formation programs, with questions about who can receive, how to withdraw, and what deadlines need to be observed.
Who can receive the forgotten money
Workers who worked with a formal contract between 1971 and 1988, as well as civil servants who worked in the same period, are entitled to the withdrawal. The redemption also depends on the request made by March 31, a condition indicated to release the payment of the forgotten money.
The average balance is R$ 2,800 per beneficiary, but the amount is not the same for everyone. The amount varies according to the time worked and the salary received at the time the fund was still in effect.

How to consult and withdraw the forgotten money
Consultation can be done through the Repis Cidadão website, the FGTS app, and also at Caixa branches. On Repis Cidadão, the worker must access the platform, log in with their gov.br account, enter their CPF and password, authorize access, and inform their Social Identification Number, NIS, which is the same as PIS.
After this procedure, it is necessary to click “search” to check the available amounts. These channels serve as official means to locate and request the forgotten money in the old PIS/Pasep fund.
Deadlines not to miss the withdrawal
The payment of the benefit began this week, on the 27th, and a maximum schedule is cited until September 28. It was also informed that the maximum limit to access the right goes until September 2028.
After the deadline, amounts that are not withdrawn return to public coffers. Therefore, those entitled to the forgotten money need to consult the available channels and complete the request within the defined period.
