Unesp Opens 144 Spots in Free Engineering Courses in Ilha Solteira; Applications Open Until May 6th on Vunesp Website
The São Paulo State University (Unesp) is accepting applications for 144 spots in free undergraduate courses at the Ilha Solteira campus. The opportunity is aimed at students interested in the fields of agronomic, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering. Applications are open until May 6th and must be submitted through the Vunesp website.
The spots are evenly distributed among the four courses. Each offers 36 spots, with part allocated to the Universal System (SU) and part to the Public Basic Education Vacancy Reservation System (SRVEBP).
The latter reserves 24 spots for self-declared black, brown, or indigenous candidates. If the reserved spots are not filled, they will be made available to candidates who have completed high school in public schools or in Adult Education (EJA), without distinction of race or color.

How to Apply
To participate in the selection process, candidates must access the Vunesp Foundation website and complete the form by the deadline.
The application fee is R$ 210. At the time of application, candidates choose the city where they will take the tests for the first and second phases. The first phase will take place on May 25th, and the second phase will occur on June 21st and 22nd.
The available cities for taking the tests are Bauru, Ilha Solteira, São José do Rio Preto, São José dos Campos, and São Paulo.
Selection Criteria
The selection will be based on the scores from the National High School Exam (Enem) from the 2023 or 2024 editions. Unesp will use the results to rank candidates, ensuring that those selected are able to keep up with the course content.
The vacancy system also seeks to promote social and racial inclusion, ensuring access to higher education for historically underrepresented groups.
