New Job Openings in Selection Process at the Federal University of Amazonas: Institution Seeks Dozens of Professionals in New Selection Process for E-Learning Tutor.
The Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM) recently announced a new public notice that opens applications for a selection process with vacancies for E-Learning Tutor and in-person roles for courses offered by the university in partnership with the Open University of Brazil Program (UAB).
Areas with Job Openings at the Federal University
In total, there are 21 openings for E-Learning and in-person tutors with opportunities for forming a reserve list. Selected candidates will receive a scholarship of R$ 1,100 per month. Approved candidates in the selection process will work in the Specialization courses in School Physical Education, Specialization in Amazonian Business, and Specialization in Digital Technologies for Basic Education in the distance learning modality.
Among the requirements to participate in the job selection process at the Federal University are having a minimum degree in the area or a related field at the end of the course for which the candidate is applying, having availability of at least twenty hours per week to develop work-related activities, including on weekends; and being available to participate in in-person or online pedagogical meetings, including on weekends.

Approved candidates for E-Learning positions will be responsible for mediating communication of content between the teacher and students, monitoring student activities according to the course schedule, supporting the subject teacher in developing teaching activities, establishing permanent contact with students, and mediating student activities, as well as collaborating with the course coordination in evaluating students.
For in-person roles, responsibilities will include administering assessment activities in person at the centers, supporting course coordination at the centers, organizing rooms and equipment for in-person activities, among other tasks.
How to Apply and Participate in the Selection Process at the Federal University?
Applications for the vacancies for E-Learning and in-person tutors must be made from August 12 to 18, exclusively through an online form on the CED website, using a specific form and sending the required documentation in PDF format.
The execution of the Selection Process for job vacancies (planning, dissemination, and execution) is the responsibility of the Selection Committee for In-Person and Distance Tutors, designated by an ordinance issued by the director of the Center for Distance Education (CED/UFAM) for the specialization courses in Amazonian Business and Specialization in Digital Technologies for Basic Education, and by the director of the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy (Feff/Ufam) for the Specialization in School Physical Education course.
Steps of the Selection Process for Job Openings at the Federal University
The selection process for E-Learning tutor vacancies will be conducted by a selection committee composed of three members and will take place in two stages, which are a title test (eliminatory and classificatory) and an interview (eliminatory and classificatory), which demonstrate the capacities for performing tutorial activities.
The first stage is scheduled to take place from August 23 to 28. The second stage will consist of an online interview with the candidates classified in the first stage, scoring from zero to one hundred points. The date and time of each candidate’s online interview will be published on the CED website, potentially occurring from September 2 to 4, and will be notified to the email provided by the candidates.
The interview will evaluate the following items: knowledge in the course area, knowledge in tutoring, interpersonal communication, availability of time, and computer skills.
