The Coordination of the Huawei Power Generation Program, through a partnership between the Center for Alternative and Renewable Energies at the Federal University of Paraíba (CEAR/UFPB) and Huawei Technologies, announced on Wednesday, 19, new openings for a free solar energy installer course. Enrollments are already open, and there are 120 available spots, with 60 per class.

The free solar energy installer course will be offered in the evening on weekdays and during the day on Saturdays, with an expected duration of about three months. Regarding weekdays, the Federal University classes will be planned, preferably, to occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 PM to 10 PM.
On Saturdays, classes will take place in the morning shift (8 AM to 12 PM) and afternoon shift (2 PM to 6 PM). It is worth mentioning that the free solar energy installer course will be held in person at the Center for Alternative and Renewable Energies (CEAR) at UFPB.
Enrollments and Main Requirements for Training at the Federal University
<pEnrollment for those interested in the free solar energy installer course must be completed from 12 PM on February 13 until 11:59 PM on February 28. Registration and submission of documentation, which must be compiled and sent in a single PDF file, will be done through a digital form.
At the time of enrollment in the free solar energy installer course, the candidate must compulsorily attach documents such as CPF (Individual Taxpayer Registry) or proof of regularity of CPF, Official Photo Identification Document (front and back), declaration or certificate of diploma of completion that proves the minimum required education.
The candidate interested in the UFPB opportunity must have Brazilian nationality or foreign nationality with regular status in the country, be 18 years or older, availability for 158 hours to participate in the course, and have completed middle school (grades 6 to 9).
Steps of the Selection Process for Training at UFPB
The first step will consist of the analysis and evaluation of supporting documentation. The documents must be compiled in a single PDF and submitted through the registration form.
The tiebreaking criteria are Academic Training according to the notice, working candidates (20 points), candidates who are recipients of income transfer programs from the federal government (20 points), women victims of domestic and family violence, with the proper police report (20 points), candidates with disabilities (20 points).
In case of a persistent tie after the application of the criteria, the candidate of greater age will be considered. The selection result will be announced by March 10 with notification of selected candidates through the email provided in the registration and publication on the CEAR/UFPB portal.
The deadline for submitting appeals regarding the selection results ends on March 15. The final result will be published by March 18 on the CEAR/UFPB portal.
