The Federal University of Lavras (UFLA) has published the Edital No. 15/COPS/DRAC/PROGRAD/2024, which offers positions for the free online course of Public Administration (Bachelor’s Degree), in the modality of Distance Education (EaD), starting in the first semester of 2025. This selection process, linked to the Open University of Brazil (UAB) program, aims to provide opportunities for qualification and specialization for different audiences, including reserved positions for public agents and quota holders. In total, there are 250 open positions distributed across different regional cities.

The course of Public Administration aims to train professionals to work in the management of public agencies and government projects, using efficient administrative practices aligned with social interests. With a total workload established in the Course Pedagogical Project (PPC), the activities include distance learning and mandatory monthly in-person meetings, held on Saturdays in the regional centers. The modality is EaD, with interaction through online platforms and tutor support, as well as forums, seminars, and periodic assessments.

Available Positions And Offer Locations

A total of 250 positions are offered, distributed across five regional cities: Bom Despacho, Lavras, Santa Rita de Caldas, São Sebastião do Paraíso, and Varginha. Each city has 50 positions, with half of them allocated to public agents. The remaining positions are distributed among quota holders and general competition, in accordance with the regulations of the Quotas Law (Law No. 12.711/2012).

Selection Process

The selection process will use public lottery in case the number of applicants exceeds the number of available positions. The lottery will be conducted electronically, with the order of classification determined randomly. There are also reserved positions for affirmative actions, encompassing candidates who have completed high school entirely in public schools, as well as specific quotas for people with disabilities, quilombolas, blacks, browns, and indigenous peoples.

Registration Requirements

To participate, the candidate must have completed high school and have internet access, in addition to basic computer skills to perform online activities. Registration requires a valid identity document, such as an Identity Card or Passport. It is also necessary to be registered with the CPF. Candidates for the reserved positions must prove compliance with the specific quota requirements at the time of enrollment.

Disclosure of Candidate/Position Ratio: October 25, 2024
Preliminary Result: November 1, 2024
Appeal Period: November 4 to 5, 2024
Final Result: November 18, 2024

Registrations are open until October 15, 2024 and must be carried out exclusively through the website COPS/UFLA.
