Tenenge Signed Contract with Petrobras for Works at Abreu e Lima Refinery in Pernambuco. The Project Is Expected to Generate 1,500 Job Positions and Strengthen the Local Industrial Chain.
According to information released by PetroNotícias, Tenenge announced the signing of a contract with Petrobras for the construction of the new Hydrocracking Unit (UHDT-N) at the Abreu e Lima Refinery (RNEST) in Pernambuco. The project, according to the company, will generate around 1,500 direct and indirect job positions, boosting the local economy and strengthening the supply chain in the region.
The works are part of the Trem 2 of the refinery and aim to improve the treatment of naphtha — a product derived from oil refining — using technology licensed by UOP, a global reference in the sector.
The bidding process that originated the contract includes everything from complete project management to commissioning and assisted operation of the unit.

Works at Abreu e Lima Refinery Promise to Boost the Industrial Sector
According to Tenenge, the contract includes a series of strategic stages, such as material inspection, procurement of supplies and equipment, civil works execution, and electromechanical assembly. Activities for testing and conditioning of systems are also planned, in addition to pre-operation and completion of existing projects.
The Abreu e Lima Refinery, located in the Industrial Port Complex of Pernambuco, already has part of the infrastructure in place.
Tenenge will be responsible for integrating the stored equipment and installing the remaining components, ensuring the integrity and performance of the new module.
Project Foresees Reusing Structures and High Technical Complexity
The Petrobras project will require detailed technical inspections and the assembly of critical systems, such as the F-34001 furnace, as well as dynamic and static equipment.
One of the project’s differentiators is the reuse of existing structures, such as scaffolding and piping, a practice that reduces costs and environmental impacts.
This sustainable approach reflects Tenenge’s concern for efficiency and safety in all stages of the construction process.
The company emphasized that the work will be conducted in an integrated manner, focusing on quality and predictability of results.
Tenenge Strengthens Its Presence in the Oil and Gas Market
Founded in the 1950s, Tenenge is nationally recognized for its experience in large-scale industrial works.
The brand, which has belonged to the Odebrecht Engineering & Construction group since 1986, is returning with strength to the market, especially in the oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, pulp and paper, and energy sectors.
With a modern structure and highly qualified teams, Tenenge focuses on highly complex technical projects and integrated management processes to add value to all phases of the project lifecycle.
