The PPMT vacancies made available by Senai and Vale aim to develop the Canaã dos Carajás market

In partnership with the National Industrial Learning Service (Senai), the mining company Vale launches the Job Market Preparation Program (PPMT) in Canaã dos Carajás, in the municipality of Pará. The project has 200 vacancies for professional training.

The objective of Vale and Senai, when offering vacancies for the Program, is to increase the job market in the region and to ensure that students are hired by companies and local businesses, offering training and professional and behavioral qualification for the population, which facilitates the insertion of students in the market. In addition to this focus, Vale and Senai also have other goals: to facilitate the local community's access to job opportunities and income generated in the municipality; offer professional training through free courses in partnership with nationally recognized institutions; and promote well-being, security and development.

The class application model will be face-to-face or, in compliance with current health recommendations, classes will take place remotely, online, through websites and educational platforms that are already being used by other educational institutions. Vacancies are directed only to students who prove residency in Canaã dos Carajás or in any of the other participating communities.

Vacancies will be offered for the following Vale and Senai courses:

  • Hardware Builder: this course has a duration of 160 hours and it is necessary to have completed elementary school;
  • Topography Assistant: the course has a total duration of 160 hours and, in order to compete for vacancies, it is necessary to have completed elementary school;
  • Carpenter: this Senai course is also 160 hours long and it is essential to have completed elementary school for these vacancies;
  • Industrial Electrician: with a duration of 160 hours, to compete for vacancies on this course it is already necessary to have completed high school;
  • Industrial Maintenance Mechanic: With a duration of 160 hours, this course also requires a high school education;
  • Mine Equipment Operator: like the previous ones, it has a duration of 160 hours and it is necessary to have completed high school. However, it is expected to start in the second half of this year;
  • Structural Masonry Mason: the course has a total duration of 160 hours and, to compete for vacancies, you must have completed elementary school.

Requirements to participate in the selection process for Senai vacancies in partnership with Vale:

  • Be at least 18 years of age;
  • Minimum education: have completed Elementary School and, depending on the choice of course, also have completed High School;
  • Live in Canaã dos Carajás or in one of the following communities: Vila Ouro Verde, PA União Américo Santana, Vila Feitosa, Vila Planalto, Vila Nova Jerusalem and Vila Bom Jesus, which also offer places for courses.
