The Google Company Managed to Create a Robot Capable of Jumping and Working. People Are Afraid of the Future!
[supsystic-social-sharing id=’1′]The company specializing in robot creation, Boston Dynamics, was bought in 2017 by the massive Google. To celebrate this acquisition, on November 16, a new prototype based on the Atlas robot was shown to the world. In this version, it could jump and perform precise back or forward flips. Don’t believe it yet? Check out the video below of Atlas published on YouTube:

The 7-seater SUV has become an alternative for those who need space without spending much, combining a 260 hp V6 engine, automatic transmission, and the size of a large utility vehicle for less than R$ 80,000: meet the 2012 Hyundai Veracruz.
Let’s face it, doing acrobatics of this level is already difficult for any person; only with a lot of training and physical conditioning can few accomplish this. In the case of Atlas, just some programming with a specific algorithm solves the problem in a matter of minutes. However, there are still some technical difficulties to be resolved, but they are being overcome as the studies advance.
So far, the robot is configured to perform simple tasks with characteristics of a common worker, such as picking up and carrying boxes. According to the machine’s developers, jumping and other acrobatics were an update to better develop the balancing system.
The robot weighs about 75 kg and belongs to the 3rd generation of a prototype that weighed an incredible 375 kg. Quite a difference, isn’t it? This was thanks to 3D printer technology, which enabled the creation of lighter parts, promoting gains in agility and more flexible components. Remember that when Boston Dynamics was conceived, its purpose was to develop military weaponry. Since it is highly specialized in robotics, Google ended up buying it because it saw the futuristic potential of this technology. Many are against it, while others are in favor. And you, what do you think about robots that do everything better than humans?
