It signed a contract for the operation of FPSO P-63, from 3R Petroleum, in the Papa Terra field region. In addition, it will carry out maintenance and oversight of activities over the next five years, according to another agreement signed with the national oil company.

The technology company Wärtsilä, based in Finland, was selected to operate power modules aboard a Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) vessel from 3R Petroleum operating in the waters off Brazil.
Wärtsilä will operate the power modules aboard FPSO P-63, which is located in the offshore Papa Terra field in a water depth of 1,200 meters and is owned by the national oil company.

The agreement with Wärtsilä is part of another investment by the oil company in the operational quality of its activities in the Papa Terra field.
The oil company acquired the field from Petrobras in December 2022. Wärtsilä had a previous agreement with Petrobras and FPSO P-63 has three power modules, each with two Wärtsilä 50DF dual-fuel engines.
Under the new contract, the Finnish company will continue to have a crew aboard operating the modules 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
