Registrations for Free Microsoft Technology Courses, in Partnership with the Government of the State of São Paulo, Can Be Made Until May 7

The Secretary of Economic Development, Science and Technology of the State of São Paulo, through the My Chance Program, has partnered with Microsoft to open 1,200 spots in free courses in the technology field. The project aims to provide professional training and boost the generation of new jobs in the technology segment. Interested parties can register until the 7th of this month (May).

The free technology courses from Microsoft are also a partnership with the CPS – Paula Souza Center. Approximately 1,200 spots will be allocated for students from Etecs – Technical Schools and students from Fatecs – Technology Colleges. The distribution of spots in these two institutions will be as follows: 1,000 and 200, respectively.

Cloud Computing Course

Topics Covered in This Option of Free Technology Courses from Microsoft in Partnership with the Government of the State of São Paulo: Present the main concepts of Azure; Show the main solutions and administration tools in Azure; Present general security and network security features; Show identity, governance, privacy, and compliance features; Present the costs of administering Azure and service level agreements. Total Hours – 20 hours.

Artificial Intelligence Course

Topics Covered in This Option of Free Technology Courses from Microsoft in Partnership with the Government of the State of São Paulo: Present an introduction to AI; Show machine learning; Show computer vision; Identify natural language processing; Show artificial intelligence for conversational applications. Total Hours – 16 hours.

Prerequisites for Registering for Free Microsoft Courses, in Partnership with the State of São Paulo

The requirements for registering for the free Microsoft technology courses in the State of São Paulo are: Be a Brazilian or foreigner, as per Constitutional Amendment No. 19/98; Be at least 18 years old on the date of registration for any of the free courses; Have the required education, ranging from incomplete high school to complete higher education; Have access to a broadband internet connection and knowledge of simple procedures for accessing the virtual learning environment.

Registrations for the free technology courses from Microsoft in the State of São Paulo opened on April 29 and will remain open until May 7. The selection test will be conducted from May 8 to May 9. The first call for selected candidates will take place from May 11 to May 13, and the second call on May 14. Classes start on May 15 and end on May 18.

How to Register for Technology Courses

Those interested in pursuing the free technology courses offered through the partnership between Microsoft and the Secretary of Economic Development, Science and Technology of the State of São Paulo may click here to be redirected to the application site.

After registering for one of the free courses, the candidate will take a Selection Test on May 8, 2021 (Saturday), from 8 AM to 5 PM, or May 9, 2021 (Sunday), from 8 AM to 5 PM (as per the form option). The registrant will receive instructions within 48 hours prior to the test. The duration of the free technology courses selection test is 50 minutes, starting from the moment the test begins, and cannot be interrupted during its execution.
