According to Faetec’s president, Romulo Massacesi, “We want to ensure broad access to the vocational courses in the Network, facilitating better job opportunities for the entire population of Rio de Janeiro.”
The slots are available in more than 80 units spread across the State of Rio de Janeiro, totaling 29,371 slots. Registrations for the courses are only made through the Faetec website, until January 26, 2020.
Among the course options are: Waiter; baker; light vehicle mechanic; computer operator; intermediate piano; beginner and intermediate English; receptionist in hospitality; hairdresser, among others. The courses have a duration of 10 to 20 weeks.
To apply, interested individuals must be between 14 and 18 years old, depending on the requirements of each course. The educational background required will also vary according to the chosen course.
The slots will be drawn on January 27, and the complete list of the lucky individuals will be published on the institution’s website. Enrollment will take place from January 28 to 31, and classes will begin on February 10.
Applicants can enroll in cities such as Barra Mansa; Campos; Guapimirim; Macaé; Petrópolis; Porto Real; Valença; Saquarema; São José do Vale do Rio Preto; Duque de Caxias; Rio das Flores; Resende; Piraí; Paraíba do Sul, and Rio de Janeiro, for example.
