The Slots in Free Courses in Recife Will Remain Open Until the Limit of Slots is Exceeded
A non-profit organization linked to the Archdiocese of Recife and Olinda, Movimento Pró-Criança, opens this Tuesday (2) slots for new students in free courses. The NGO will offer 225 slots in six free courses for children and youth aged between 7 and 17 years. Classes will be held at the NGO’s units in Coelhos and in the Bairro do Recife.

Following COVID-19 prevention measures, the classes for new students are expected to start in March, with remote classes twice a week. One of the courses will be theater, offered by the Interarte Project, a well-known initiative of Pró-Criança that has the support of the Federal Government’s Ministry of Culture through the Rouanet Law. The Pro-Criança NGO offers complementary activity classes in the morning and afternoon periods.
Enrollment for Free Courses in Recife
The enrollment process will take place in two stages: via phone and a meeting with the psychosocial sector for interviews and documentation submission from the interested party.

In the first phase, the parents and/or guardians of the interested party wishing to join the Coelhos Unit must contact the psychosocial sector by calling (81) 3412-8952 and provide basic personal information, such as name, address, and chosen course. Service will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
For the Recife Antigo Unit, enrollment starts on Thursday (4). Contact can be made by phone at (81) 3425-4451 or via WhatsApp at (81) 98802-9576. The service channels will be available from Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Enrollments can be made throughout March.
Documentation
The responsible person for the interested party must submit copies of the following documents:
- ID;
- Tax ID;
- Proof of residence.
In addition to the responsible person’s documents, the personal documents of the young person must also be presented along with the school declaration, SUS card, and a 3×4 photo.
