GR-1: More Than a Robot
The GR-1 is not just a bunch of screws and gears. It is equipped with cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) and has been developed to be a true caregiver.
With 44 degrees of freedom throughout its body and a peak torque module of 230NM, this robot is capable of transporting patients with reduced mobility to wheelchairs and even hold objects like bottles. The goal is to make it an assistant or even a companion for elderly people living alone.
What Does This Mean for Brazil?
China is not the only country facing an increase in its elderly population. Brazil is expected to follow the same path starting in 2030. How will we prepare for this demographic shift? Certainly, robot technology like the GR-1 offers a glimpse into what our future may hold.

The GR-1 weighs 55kg and has a height of 165cm, with a maximum speed of 5km/h. The Embodied AI technology used in it has significant applications across various fields, from industry to research.
