The Offshore Positions at Modec Are Intended for Professionals Who Want to Work Onboard and Have Experience in the Role

Founded in 1968, MODEC is a general contractor specialized in engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of floating production systems, a leader in major projects in Brazil and worldwide. Today, the company has offshore job openings for many positions.

Deckhand

Perform general tasks safely and efficiently on the deck, crane, and helipad, according to the instructions from the Marine Superintendent, Load Supervisor, and Cabotage Master;

Occupational Doctor

To perform functions such as:

Conducting clinical care in the infirmary, weekly hygiene inspections of the unit, weekly care reports, managing the stock of medications and medical materials, inspecting food supplies, checking medical equipment, giving health lectures, managing occupational appointments, health briefings, aiming to comply with procedures.

Carry out well-defined work according to protocols and guidelines, adhering to codes of conduct and standards set by professional bodies, under the supervision of qualified advisors; among others.

Requirements:

Degree in Medicine;
Active medical registration in CRM;
Postgraduate degree in Occupational Medicine;
Previous offshore experience and experience in the oil and gas sector is a plus;
Advanced English.

Engine Room Supervisor

Assist, coordinate, and perform maintenance activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all installations and machines and all instrument/control systems, under the guidelines of the Maintenance Supervisor / Superintendent;

Conduct regular rounds, check machinery areas and all equipment in the engine room, repair any defects and report (Root Cause Analysis) as necessary. Assist with other tasks as requested by the Maintenance Superintendent; among others.

Requirements:

High School Diploma;
Desired Technical Level;
STCW III/2 or III/1;
Fluent English.

Instrument Technician

Perform maintenance activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all instruments in the installation;

Assist in other tasks as requested by the I&C Supervisor or Instrumentation Supervisor (when applicable); among others.

Requirements:

Technical Training;
Active CFT;
Advanced English;
Previous experience in a process plant.

Mechanical Technician

Perform maintenance activities, including machinery and equipment related to the Operations and Repair Departments, and emergency equipment. Ensure the safety and efficient operation of all equipment and machines;

Align and couple machines with drives. Assist and perform maintenance activities to ensure the safety and operation of all equipment and machines, including engines, compressors, pumps, purifiers, and generators; among others.

Requirements:

Technical Training (Mechanical Technician);
Active CFT;
Previous experience in diesel mechanics, compressors, and hydraulics;
CBSP and Huet;
