The Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) Announced New Free Specialization Courses in the EAD Modality. There Are Nearly 600 Available Spots in Four Different Areas and Registrations Will Go Until Early April. See How to Secure Your Spot.
If you are looking for a chance to boost your resume without spending anything, now is the time. The Federal University UFJF is offering free courses in distance education with registrations open for all of Brazil. The opportunity is perfect for those who want to specialize but can’t attend in-person classes — everything online, with support from in-person hubs and recognized certification.
The new offerings from UFJF include 595 spots in four strategic areas: education, security, school management, and public sustainability. The courses are all free and aimed at those already working in the fields as well as professionals looking to change careers or simply update their skills. Registrations are already underway, and some close at the end of March, so it’s best to hurry to avoid missing the deadline.
Four Areas Focused on Professional Qualification UFJF
UFJF has focused on topics that are in high demand in the job market and public management. All courses are specialization courses, meaning they require a completed higher education degree. They were designed for specific audiences, but in some cases, professionals from other fields may also participate if there are available spots. Classes are offered in the EAD format, with asynchronous activities (which you do on your own time) and synchronous (live) meetings on some predetermined dates.

How the Selection Process Works
The selection process does not involve a written test. Selection will be made through the analysis of the submitted documents and the candidate’s profile. Among the criteria considered are higher education, connection or experience in the area of the chosen course, and documents that prove professional activity. In some cases, the justification presented by the candidate at the time of registration will also be analyzed.
UFJF emphasizes that, since these are free courses, the selection prioritizes candidates with a genuine interest and availability to follow the activities. It is important to note that if the number of applicants exceeds the number of spots, the institution may apply tie-breaking criteria based on the documents and information provided.
Where to Register
Registrations must be made exclusively through the website of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), in the section dedicated to distance specialization courses. There you will find the complete announcement, the registration form, and the step-by-step instructions to submit the correct documentation.
➡ Access the official UFJF portal: www.ufjf.br and click on the “EAD Specialization” section or search for the name of the desired course.
Don’t forget to check the announcement for each course, as each one has its own rules and deadlines. It’s also important to have the following documents on hand: ID, CPF, diploma of graduation, proof of residence, proof of professional activity (if applicable), and an updated resume.
