The Ministry of Economy announced in a statement today that it considers crucial for airlines to seek options to lower the value of tickets. The note highlights the ministry’s commitment to making tickets more accessible for Brazilians, which in turn will contribute to the growth of civil aviation in the country.
At the event held on Wednesday (22), Costa Filho mentioned that the government is also working on measures to assist the companies. Among the possibilities, he mentioned analyzing ways to reduce the cost of aviation kerosene (QAV), which represents about 40% of the operational costs of airlines.
The National Department of Ports and Airports (DNPA) announced today that, after a new series of meetings with the airline operators, it decided to extend the deadline for delivering the action plan containing measures aimed at reducing airfares. The deadline has been extended by another 15 days and was a request from the ministry following a meeting held last week.
