Brand New Robot Launched by American AES Will Complement Skilled Labor, Keeping It Safe and Doing Heavy Work, In Installing and Securing Photovoltaic Panels in Solar Plants.

The U.S. energy generation group AES Corp unveiled its solar installation robot, Atlas, the first robot for installing photovoltaic panels, with which it aims to increase the speed and efficiency of solar power plant construction and reduce costs.

The company designed the robot as part of a multi-year innovation program and built it together with Calvary Robotics and other partners.

“Atlas will complement our skilled workforce, keeping them safe and performing heavy work, the installation and securing of solar modules, while adding new high-tech jobs,” AES said in a press release. They also launched a video, see below:

AES Also Invested in Ecoppia Solar Robots to Automate Cleaning of Solar Panels

In addition to this brand new solar robot, AES also invested in Ecoppia solar robots to automate the cleaning of photovoltaic panels, in 5B and its MAVERICK technology for plug-and-play solar farm installation, and in the world’s first solar storage and battery solutions coupled to DC, providing dispatchable power.
