The year 2020 is marked by unexpected changes in the oil and gas market as well as other industries. The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels (ANP) authorized the postponement of activities planned by oil companies for up to one year. The announcement was made yesterday (7) by the agency.

The annual work program is submitted to ANP by oil companies, which outlines the set of activities and investments of the operating company over the course of any civil year. With this decision, companies are exempt from complying with what was planned in this plan for a year, without the need for a plan revision.
Another important measure adopted by the agency was the suspension of deadlines related to certain operational routines for oil and gas production. These include: sample collection of oil to determine the shrinkage factor and solubility ratio; sample collection of gas; calibration of meters that cannot be performed on-site; calibration of secondary elements, measuring tapes, and tanks; dimensional inspection of measurement system components and tanks, and verification of flare meters and testing of land wells.
