Announcement Made on January 21 Confirms Health Release for Brazilian Beef Fat Exports to Vietnam and Bovine Heparin to Saudi Arabia, Markets That Together Imported Over US$ 6.3 Billion from the National Agribusiness in 2025 and Expand Total Trade Openings Since 2023

The Brazilian government announced on Wednesday (21) the conclusion of sanitary negotiations that authorize agricultural exports to Vietnam and Saudi Arabia, expanding markets for beef fat and bovine heparin and strengthening the external presence of the national agribusiness.

Opening of the Vietnamese Market for Beef Fat

In Vietnam, a country with around 100 million inhabitants, health authorities have confirmed the authorization for the export of beef fat from Brazil. This measure expands opportunities for the Brazilian livestock chain in an already significant market for the national agribusiness.

In 2025, Vietnam imported over US$ 3.5 billion in Brazilian agricultural products. Among the items acquired were corn, soybeans, fibers, and textile products, consolidating the Asian country as a strategic destination for external sales in the sector.

Saudi Release for Bovine Heparin

In Saudi Arabia, with an approximate population of 34 million, the export of bovine heparin has been authorized. The product is an anticoagulant used in medical procedures and clinical therapies, expanding the portfolio of Brazilian items with access to the Saudi market.

In 2025, Saudi Arabia imported over US$ 2.8 billion in agricultural products from Brazil. Purchases were concentrated on corn, meats, and products from the sugar-ethanol complex, according to official data.

Cumulative Impact of Sanitary Negotiations

With these announcements, Brazilian agribusiness has achieved 527 new export opportunities since the beginning of 2023.

The result reflects the continuous expansion of sanitary access to international markets for different productive chains.

The releases help to diversify destinations and products, strengthening the external insertion of the sector and expanding commercial alternatives for Brazilian exporters.

Joint Action of the Federal Government

According to the government, the results arise from the integrated action of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The coordination aimed to remove sanitary barriers and consolidate technical agreements.

The strategy has prioritized markets with significant demand and a history of imports, reinforcing Brazil’s presence in global supply chains and expanding the reach of agricultural exports.
