Multinational Agrocete Announced an Investment of R$ 11 Million in a New Biodefensives Factory in Ponta Grossa, Reinforcing Its Expansion in the Bioinputs Market.
Agrocete, a Brazilian multinational specialized in bioinputs and plant nutrition, announced an investment of R$ 11 million in the construction of a new factory dedicated to the production of biodefensives in Ponta Grossa, Paraná.
The investment marks the 45th anniversary of the company and reinforces its sustainable expansion strategy in the agricultural market, increasing the capacity to provide biological solutions in the country.
In addition to the new industrial plant, the company plans to invest 5% of its annual revenue in research and development, aiming to launch eight new biological products by 2027.

New Factory Strengthens Production and Environmental Commitment
With the construction of the new unit in Ponta Grossa, Agrocete aims to meet the growing demand for biodefensives, contributing to the advancement of sustainable agribusiness in Brazil.
The factory will utilize 100% renewable energy and includes its own wastewater treatment station, along with other actions aimed at conserving natural resources.
It is estimated that the unit will reduce around 82 tons of CO₂ emissions annually.
“The new plant reinforces our commitment to technology, sustainability, and people,” said Andrea de Figueiredo Giroldo, director of Agrocete, during the Strategic Alignment Week 2025.
Innovation in Bioinputs and Growth Targets
During the meeting held in April at the company’s headquarters, in celebration of the new strategic cycle, Agrocete presented ambitious targets: to launch eight new biological products by 2027, focused on pest and disease control, plant growth promotion, nitrogen fixation, and nutrient solubilization.
The event brought together 110 employees from various regions of the Americas, where the company already operates, and included technical and management training.
Bioinputs Take Center Stage in Agribusiness
The sector of biodefensives and sustainable products continues to grow at an accelerated pace. In the last harvest, Brazil generated R$ 5.7 billion in bioinputs, with 156 million hectares treated.
ANPII Bio’s expectation is that the market will grow 60% by 2030, surpassing R$ 9 billion. Agrocete stands out in this scenario, as 76% of its national revenue in 2024 came from sustainable products.
With this new investment and the consolidation of the factory, Agrocete reaffirms its position as one of the key players in transforming Brazilian agriculture towards a greener, more innovative, and efficient model.
