A first-generation Rolls-Royce Ghost appeared in a video on the Ace1Whips channel with 30-inch floating wheels, low-profile tires, red paint with black hood, roof, and trunk, maintaining chrome details and black leather interior, but deeply altering the original image of the luxury sedan
The Rolls-Royce Ghost featured in a video published by the Ace1Whips channel draws attention for a contrast hard to ignore: a luxury sedan known for its sober appearance was transformed with 30-inch floating wheels, striking paint, and proportions that completely change its presence on the streets.
Old Ghost gets 30-inch wheels
The car shown does not belong to the latest generation of the model. It is a first-generation Rolls-Royce Ghost, Series I, produced sometime between 2009 and 2014. The original base was shared with the BMW 7 Series of the time, the F01, as well as the Wraith and Dawn models.
The most evident modification is in the wheels. The sedan received a red and chrome 30-inch set, installed with low-profile tires to fit under the wheel arches. The visual effect is immediate and dominates the vehicle’s appearance.

The so-called floating wheels reinforce the extravagant style of the project. Instead of the discretion normally associated with the Ghost, the car now conveys an extreme customization proposal, more akin to a visual display than a preservation of the original design.
Red paint changes the look of the Rolls-Royce
In addition to the wheels, the vehicle features red paint, with a black hood, roof, and trunk lid. The original chrome details were maintained, creating a combination that mixes factory elements with a very striking external transformation.
The contrast is significant because the Ghost was born as a high-standard luxury sedan, with an imposing presence and more discreet lines. In the version shown, the customization alters the perception of the car and makes the ensemble appear more radical.
Inside, the interior upholstered in black leather was preserved as part of the configuration observed in the video. Despite this, the base material suggests that the changes likely compromised the driving sensation, distancing the car from the expected behavior in a luxury sedan.
Luxury sedan had a 6.6-liter V12 engine
Before the visual changes, the Rolls-Royce Ghost was already a large car with high performance. In the regular configuration, it measured 5,399 millimeters in length. In the extended wheelbase version, it reached 5,569 millimeters.
The curb weight was around two and a half tons, or about 5,500 pounds. Under the hood, the model used a 6.6-liter V12 engine, with 563 horsepower, equivalent to 571 hp and 420 kilowatts.
The torque was 780 Nm, or 575 lb-ft. With this setup, the Ghost accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately five seconds. The engine was a modified version of BMW’s V12 N74, coupled with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
Modification alters the original proposal of the Ghost
The transformation shows how customization can completely change a car’s identity. The original Rolls-Royce Ghost combines size, V12 engine, refined finish, and an executive sedan image. With 30-inch wheels, the visual priority becomes different.
The result divides opinions precisely because it alters a model associated with discreet luxury. The huge wheels, red and black paint, and chrome set make the car impossible to go unnoticed.
The choice also highlights a central difference between customization and restoration: here, the goal does not seem to be preserving the original elegance, but creating a car with absolute visual presence.
Even retaining original elements, the Ghost presented in the video no longer conveys the same factory reading. The modification creates a specimen aimed at immediate visual impact, although it raises questions about comfort, stability, and fidelity to the original concept.
