Environmental Commitment: “Clean Bay” Project

In addition to professional opportunities, Ocyan reinforces its commitment to environmental initiatives. In partnership with BVRio, the company supports the “Clean Bay” project, where fishermen dedicate two days a week to collect waste in Guanabara Bay. The project has already achieved a significant milestone, removing 10 tons of waste in just one month.

Coordinated in two traditional communities in Caju, Maré, and Ilha do Fundão, about 20 fishermen are committed to reaching the ambitious goal of removing 100 tons of waste from Guanabara Bay in 12 months. The team is already collecting more than a ton of waste per day, demonstrating the effectiveness of the project.
