Ambev Bets on Paraná as a Strategic Hub for the Beverage Industry
The new industrial investment consolidates Paraná as one of the main production hubs in the beverage sector in the country.
With a capacity to produce up to 600 million glass bottles per year, the factory will supply Ambev units in several states.
According to Governor Ratinho Junior, the inauguration of the factory represents more than just significant numbers. “A factory like this represents more than a large investment.
It represents work, job creation, regional development, and strengthening of the industry in Paraná, which is now the third industrial force in Brazil,” he stated.
In addition, the project aligns with the state policy of attracting large private enterprises, focusing on industrialization, innovation, and sustainable economic expansion.
Job Creation Drives Carambeí and the Campos Gerais
During the factory’s implementation phase, job creation was significant. A total of 4,225 direct jobs were created during the construction, along with the participation of more than 150 companies involved in the execution of the project.
With the start of operations, the expectation is to maintain around 400 direct and indirect jobs.
This movement strengthens the local job market and broadens opportunities in different areas of industry.
Therefore, the new enterprise becomes a vector for regional development, with direct effects on income, commerce, and service provision.
Integration of the Productive Chain Strengthens Industrial Investment
Another highlight of the project is the complete integration of the beer production chain within Paraná.
The State is already the largest national beer producer, with barley production, malting plants, and breweries.
“Paraná is the largest beer producer in Brazil.
We produce barley, have malting plants, breweries, and now also industries that supply this sector,” highlighted Ratinho Junior.
Thus, Ambev’s industrial investment amplifies the verticalization of production and strengthens the Paraná industrial ecosystem.
Sustainability is a Central Focus of Ambev’s New Factory
Sustainability was highlighted as one of the pillars of the project. The new plant uses returnable bottles and recycled material, reducing environmental impact and promoting circular economy.
“This factory contributes significantly in the area of sustainability.
It is a unit that uses returnable and recycled bottles, aligned with the profile of industries that Paraná has been seeking to attract,” said the governor.
In this way, Ambev reinforces its environmental commitment while expanding its production capacity.
Economic Growth in Paraná Attracts New Investments
During the event, Ratinho Junior also highlighted Paraná’s economic performance.
According to him, the State is growing above 6% in economic activity, has a historical record of formal employment, and maintains infrastructure investments across all regions.
Moreover, the Campos Gerais have been consolidating as a strategic industrial hub, with new projects in the areas of food, automotive, energy, and logistics.
National Impact on Ambev’s Value Chain
Ambev’s CEO, Carlos Lisboa, emphasized the strategic importance of Paraná for the company. “Paraná is a strategic and very important state for Ambev.
Thus, we have barley fields, factories, distribution centers, and thousands of employees in the state who work every day to deliver the best products and services to the people of Paraná,” he stated.
He also mentioned that the bottles produced in Carambeí will supply factories in other states, amplifying the national impact of the operation.
Currently, the company’s production chain in the State generates over 16,000 direct, indirect, and induced jobs.
