Neurubber Opened Its New Shoe Factory in Ceará with Investments of R$ 6 Million. In Addition to 15 Thousand Units Per Day, the Factory Has Already Created 500 Jobs and Plans to Increase This Number to 700 in the Future
On this Thursday (9), Governor Camilo Santana was present and participated in the inauguration of the second Neurubber shoe factory in the municipality of Solonópole, Ceará. According to Camilo, his main concerns are overcoming the health crisis the country is facing with the Covid-19 pandemic, and another is generating job opportunities with formal contracts. Thus, Ceará delivers another industrial warehouse. Currently, the company employs 500 people, but the projection is that this number will further increase by 2023.

The new shoe factory is the second already installed in Solonópole. The units produce rubber sandals for various national brands. With the expectation of expanding to 700 direct job positions by 2023, Neurubber currently employs 500 people in the Ceará municipality, according to data from Caged, the Ministry of Economy.

According to the supervisor, this convenience is important for the community, as many people used to leave the city to seek job opportunities elsewhere, and now the factory offers job possibilities for everyone.
Neurubber Invested R$ 6 Million in Machines for the Factory
According to Litiane Dantas, administrative manager of Neurubber, the factory produces up to 15 thousand units per day, showcasing the workforce strength of the municipality’s residents. The expectation is to grow more each year, with two additional warehouses creating job opportunities and income for the region by 2025.
The investments made in the plant totaled R$ 6 million in supplementary installations of machines and equipment. The State Government’s investment, through the Ceará Development Agency (Adece), was approximately R$ 3.5 million.
Ana Vládia Jucá, the mayor of the municipality, celebrated the inauguration of the new factory. The partnership with the State Government is generating development for the city’s people. There are more job opportunities coming with future projects.

The governor also recalled the various partnerships established with the municipality of Solonópole, including new roads, a playground, a toy library, and a vocational school. According to Camilo, today the industrial warehouse is inaugurated, and soon the government will return to the city, which will receive one of the best public schools in the State, with 99% of the works completed.
