Saudi Arabia announces ambitious investments and seeks leadership in military technology, establishing international partnerships to develop 6th generation fighters and enter the select group of global military powers.

Saudi Arabia may join the ambitious international project Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), an initiative that brings together giants such as the United Kingdom, Italy and Japan to invest in 6th generation fighters and advance military technology. Scheduled to enter operation in the middle of the next decade, the program aims to create an advanced stealth aircraft that will replace iconic models such as the Eurofighter Typhoon and the Boeing F-15.

Saudi Arabia could be a potential new member of the program focused on military technology transfer

Saudi Arabia's possible participation reflects the country's growing interest in positioning itself as a military technology powerhouse. The program, budgeted at billions of euros in investment, is a milestone in international cooperation for innovation in the defense sector.

Saudi Arabia's involvement in the creation of 6th generation fighter jets, in addition to expanding the scale of the project, reinforces the kingdom's strategy of diversifying its economy and consolidating its military industry and technology.

According to Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, Saudi Arabia is being considered as a potential new member of the program. The agreement that Italy has with the United Kingdom and Japan will now be expanded to include Saudi Arabia.

This expansion of investment in military technology and the number of participants is not unexpected, given that the three countries discussed the possibility of including new partners in early November.

With an investment of billions of euros, the program aims to replace aircraft such as the Boeing F-15 and Eurofighter Typhoon and create 6th generation fighters. Entry into operation is scheduled for the middle of the next decade, cementing the program as one of the main military aviation initiatives of today.

Saudi Arabia seeks to acquire Eurofighter Typhoon

Saudi Arabia has shown interest in strengthening its fighter fleet. It recently attempted to acquire the Eurofighter Typhoon, but faced initial resistance from Germany, a member of the Eurofighter consortium since the 1980s.

In addition, the Arab kingdom is promoting an ambitious industrialization plan to reduce its dependence on oil. Investments in defense and military technology are one of the priorities of this strategy, in line with the objectives of the GCAP.

The program to create the new 6th generation fighters was launched in 2022, after the United Kingdom began studies for the development of an advanced stealth fighter, called Tempest. Italy and Japan quickly joined the project, which will be led by companies such as BAE Systems, Leonardo and Mitsubishi.

Sweden also participated in the discussions, but decided not to move forward with the program. Meanwhile, France, Germany and Spain are leading another similar project, the Future Combat Air System (FCAS), which is expected to include Belgium in 2025. With the possible accession of Saudi Arabia, GCAP could gain even more strength, expanding its relevance in the global defense sector.

Elon Musk speaks out on fighter jets

As Saudi Arabia invests in 6th generation fighter jets, Elon Musk advocates replacing F-35 fighters with drones. The executive directly criticized the US Air Force's cutting-edge fighter jet, saying that airplanes are outdated in the age of drones.

In his X platform, Musk advocates replacing fighter jets with drones and claims that manned combat aircraft are nothing more than relics of the past and put pilots' lives at risk unnecessarily.

Donald Trump, the future president of the United States, has also expressed criticism of the F-35, highlighting the high costs of developing and maintaining the aircraft. He suggested that the government should seek more economical and efficient alternatives for the country's air defense.

Countries spend billions in figures to re-equip their military power that they use to destroy humanity. When they should be using these resources to combat the hunger and poverty that is rampant in the world.

Elon Musk is a visionary ahead of his time. Drones have proven and are proving that they make a difference in armed conflicts. Ukraine is an example. They can only be improved and AI technology can make them more effective and deadly. Not to mention that pilots can do the job without leaving a base or unknown location. Not to mention the low cost of investment and maintenance for an F-35. In that time, missiles and drones will make the difference between defense and attack, deterrence and fragility.

How many liters of Elon's semen does he have in his orifice? For 15 years, drones have been used in combat. Where is the visionary? Besides, he is the Pentagon's way. If it weren't for him, war would be declared between states. Are you crazy? Investing in military weapons is the easiest way to channel spending and development in countries. He wants drones that Starlik uses precisely for him to command.
