Chitãozinho Farm in Goiás has 990 hectares, 10 thousand heads of Nelore, and will enter soybean cultivation in 2025 with a global agribusiness multinational.

According to the Compre Rural portal, José Lima Sobrinho, known as Chitãozinho, began soybean cultivation in 2025 at Galopeira Farm, located in Mozarlândia, in northern Goiás, about 300 kilometers from Goiânia. The phytosanitary management of the crop was the responsibility of UPL Ltd., a multinational present in over 130 countries and specialized in sustainable agricultural solutions. The first input applied was the herbicide Lifeline Sync, aimed at controlling invasive species such as crabgrass and bitter grass, common in the Cerrado.

The entry into grain agriculture represents a strategic change in the use of the property, traditionally focused on livestock.

The name of Galopeira Farm has a direct origin in the first album of Chitãozinho’s career

The name Galopeira Farm does not have a geographical or familial origin. It directly refers to the first album of the duo Chitãozinho & Xororó, released in 1970 by Beverly Records.

At that time, the brothers were still at the beginning of their career, without a consolidated structure or national recognition. Decades later, the album’s name was revived to name the rural property in Goiás, establishing a direct connection between artistic origin and property consolidation.

The journey of Chitãozinho and Xororó began in the interior of Paraná and transformed Brazilian country music

José Lima Sobrinho and Durval de Lima were born in Astorga, Paraná, and grew up in a family environment with a strong musical influence.

Without access to radio, they learned music at home and began performing in childhood. Their professional career started with the support of radio host Geraldo Meirelles, who was also responsible for creating the duo’s stage names.

National recognition came gradually, highlighted by the success of the song “Fio de Cabelo,” released in 1982, which sold about 1.5 million copies and expanded the presence of country music on FM radios.

Galopeira Farm in Mozarlândia has 990 hectares and a consolidated structure for intensive livestock farming

The Galopeira Farm was acquired about three decades ago and is located in the municipality of Mozarlândia, in northern Goiás, approximately 313 kilometers from Goiânia. The property has 990 hectares, equivalent to about 410 acres, and was initially structured for beef cattle raising.

The focus has always been on the Nelore breed, adapted to the conditions of the Cerrado and widely used in Brazilian cattle ranching.

The farm houses more than 10,000 heads of Nelore cattle, with management based on technical criteria and constant veterinary monitoring.

The operation includes genetic selection practices aimed at improving productive characteristics, such as weight gain, resistance, and meat quality.

This model positions the property among the major breeders in the region, with a production standard aligned with the demands of the cattle market.

Crop-livestock integration marks a new phase of the farm with entry into soybean production

The decision to start soybean cultivation in 2025 accompanies the expansion of agriculture in northern Goiás, a region that has consolidated itself as a productive hub in recent years.

The adopted model integrates crops and livestock in the same area, allowing for better soil utilization and increased productivity.

The rotation between pasture and agricultural cultivation contributes to improving soil quality and reducing periods of land idleness.

Partnership with multinational UPL expands the use of agricultural technology in the production of Fazenda Galopeira

The partnership with UPL Ltd. brought access to advanced agricultural technologies, including pesticides and biological solutions aimed at sustainability.

The use of specific inputs for the Cerrado, such as the herbicide Lifeline Sync, allows for greater efficiency in controlling weeds and better crop performance.

This strategy reinforces the farm’s transition to a more diversified and technically structured production model.

Farm combines large-scale agricultural production with leisure and personal use structure

In addition to agricultural production, Fazenda Galopeira has facilities aimed at personal use, including common areas, a soccer field, and a lake.

The space serves as a support residence and a place of rest for the singer, who uses the property as a counterpoint to his professional routine.

The expansion into soybean production represents a strategic move aimed at enhancing the property’s value and diversifying revenue sources.

The integration between agricultural and livestock activities increases the productive potential of the farm, reduces risks, and aligns with established trends in the Brazilian agribusiness.

Now we want to know: is the diversification between livestock and soy the definitive path for large rural properties in Brazil?

Fazenda Galopeira represents an example of adaptation to the new landscape of national agribusiness, combining tradition in livestock with agricultural expansion.

In your view, does this integration model tend to become the standard in Brazilian agriculture, or does it still depend on specific regional factors?
