The New Contest Authorized by MEC Will Make Positions Available for the Role of Educational Affairs Technician
The Ministry of Education (MEC) has obtained authorization to hold a new contest aimed at filling 220 positions in its staff. These positions from the contest are intended for professionals with higher education.
In addition, the MEC has also received permission to open a selection process for the National Fund for Development of Education (FNDE), an agency that plays an operational role within the ministry.
The authorization initiative for the MEC’s contest aims to strengthen the teams of MEC and FNDE, enabling more efficient action in promoting and developing public educational policies in Brazil. Conducting the contests will allow for the hiring of qualified professionals who will contribute to the improvement of the educational sector in the country.

The Contest of Positions Authorized by MEC
The MEC’s contest for positions was authorized on June 16, 2023, through Ordinance No. 2,384 published in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU). The available position is for Educational Affairs Technician, which requires higher education, and 220 positions will be offered for this role.
According to the ordinance, the deadline for the publication of the public competition announcement is up to six months from the date of publication of the document, meaning that the announcement should be released by December 2023.
After the publication of the announcement, there will be a minimum deadline of two months for the first exam of the MEC’s contest to be held. It is important that interested parties keep track of official information and stay attentive to the deadlines and stages of the selection process, which will be announced in the announcement.
