The Emergency Aid 2021 Has Much Stricter Selection Criteria. As a Result, Some Families May Have Their Aid Denied. See How to Resolve the Situation If the 2021 Aid Is Denied

The Emergency Aid was a lifeline for millions of people last year. At that time, the amount paid by the government was much higher than in 2021. Furthermore, the number of people eligible for aid was much greater than this year. Data from Dataprev indicates that about 41 million people had the benefit approved in the first phase. In 2020, this number was 60 million people. This shows that many people had their aid denied.

My Emergency Aid Was Denied. What Should I Do?

With much less money available for the payment of the Emergency Aid, the government conducted a thorough review and tightened the rules so that only those who really need the 2021 aid are entitled to the program. However, if you believe there was an error in the evaluation, you can appeal the denied aid through the Ministry of Citizenship. The deadline to appeal is only 10 days.

Emergency Aid Denied!

People will be able to see if they were approved for the 2021 emergency aid this Friday (02). You can get this information exclusively through the website www.cidadania.gov.br/auxilio. If your aid is denied, you can contest it on the platform itself. However, it is important to emphasize that you can only appeal for the criteria where some data can still be updated in Dataprev.

Unlike last year, the criteria for requesting emergency aid have become much stricter, and the evaluation of each person has also become more rigorous. As a result, it will certainly reduce the number of people who will receive emergency aid without actually needing it. The 2021 aid will be paid to people with an income of up to half of a minimum wage per capita.

Amounts to Be Paid

On average, the 2021 aid will be paid in 4 installments of R$ 250. Families with women as heads of the household may receive a higher amount, with R$ 375 in benefits. The amount is much lower than in 2020, but certainly the emergency aid will have a significant impact on these families.
