The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) has just launched, this Tuesday, the 29th, a new line of credit exclusively for financing the hiring of technological services
The BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development) launched the new line Credit Services 4.0, where it announced that it will provide loans of up to R$ 5 million. In this new line of credit, the promoted loan will be made through indirect operation, that is, through the network of commercial banks as intermediaries. According to the bank, the institution’s intention is to serve small businesses with financing between R$ 50 thousand and R$ 100 thousand.

According to the client manager, Gabriel Aidar, in the broadcast for the launch of the new line of credit it was also reported: “We are seeking to modernize the productive structure, with the adoption of digitalization and industrial technologies that prepare our productive fabric for advanced manufacturing, stimulating the digitalization process of micro and small enterprises.”
The interest rates for BNDES Credit Services 4.0 will consist of a spread of 0.95% per year for the development bank, plus a spread from the intermediary agent, in addition to the BNDES base cost. This base cost rate from BNDES can be the TLP (main BNDES rate, which follows the quotations of public securities and is at 1.53% plus IPCA), the Selic (currently set at 2% by the Central Bank) or the TFB (a fixed rate from BNDES, which changes according to the term, reaching 6.26% per year for terms of 84 to 120 months).

The institution’s differential is the term, as loans from this new line of credit may be repaid over a period of up to ten years, with a maximum grace period of two years before they start to be amortized. Additionally, the proposed conditions still allow companies wishing to take out the loan to finance 100% of the acquisitions of technological services.
In this way, providers of technological services will also need to register with the development bank in order to have their sales eligible for financing by BNDES. In the live broadcast, the director of Participation, Capital Markets and Indirect Credit at BNDES invited companies providing technological services to register through the bank’s website.
Manager Aidar added: “the new line of credit is a stimulus to the entire 4.0 ecosystem, the entire supplier network. These are the science and technology institutes, the Senai institutes, Embrapii units (federal institution dedicated to supporting industrial innovation), integrator companies, IoT (Internet of Things) solution providers, and smart city suppliers, that will serve the public sector.”
