Investment of R$ 2.5 Billion in the Construction of Latin America’s Largest Tissue Paper Factory
As part of its growth strategy, Bracell announced in the first quarter of 2023 the acquisition of OL Papéis, a company in the tissue paper market. This acquisition marks Bracell’s entry into the Brazilian tissue market and reinforces its vision of becoming a leader in this sector in the medium term. The company plans to invest R$ 2.5 billion in the construction of the largest tissue paper factory in Latin America, located in Lençóis Paulista, São Paulo.
With a production capacity of 240,000 tons per year, this new facility is expected to start operations in the second quarter of 2024. During the construction phase, it is anticipated that more than 2,000 jobs will be generated, while the factory’s operation will create around 550 permanent jobs.
