A transpetro, transport and logistics subsidiary of Petrobras, is planning to launch a notice by May to hire four vessels large-sized. These ships will be entirely built in Brazil, representing an important boost for the national naval industry. The announcement made by the company's CEO, Sergio Bacci, during an event in Rio de Janeiro according to portosenavios.

Transpetro is determined to strengthen its own fleet and meet the demands of Petrobras. With the imminent launch of the notice, the company seeks to boost the Brazilian naval industry, creating opportunities for local shipyards and generating jobs.

Last Thursday, during an event at the Brazilian Petroleum Institute (IBP), the president of Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates, shared ideas with the government to stimulate the naval sector and shortly after, it was announced that a new government program to encourage industry, which is broader and more sophisticated, will be launched by the end of the first semester.

Furthermore, Petrobras has plans to hire 38 maritime support vessels in the coming years, representing an investment of 2,5 billions of dollars and the possibility of creating 28 thousand direct jobs.

For this year, we have planned notices for 31 vessels, while the others for the year 2025.
