News That BYD Is Preparing! The Chinese giant, known for its performance in the electric vehicle market, is about to take a bold step by entering the electric scooter segment. Recently leaked industrial designs indicate that the brand is working on a mid-sized scooter, expected to be launched at EICMA 2024 in Milan.

The model appearing in the designs resembles a vehicle with an engine over 250 cc. The scooter features a split seat, in the style of the Dafra Citycom 300i, but with a more modern design and sharp headlights.

The weight distribution is optimized, with the electric motor and battery located at the center of the chassis, which improves stability during riding.

Another highlight is the rear wheel transmission system, which can be either chain or belt-driven, accompanied by independent suspension.

The front suspension is inverted, a feature that provides better control and performance in urban conditions. The 14-inch alloy wheels ensure strength and durability.

The Milan Motorcycle Show, or EICMA, is one of the largest motorcycle events in the world, attracting thousands of visitors and hundreds of brands. The expectation is that BYD will use this platform to officially announce its entry into the electric scooter market, consolidating its diversification strategy in the electric mobility sector.
