The New Cacau Show Factory Will Be Located in the Municipality of Linhares, in Espírito Santo, Where the Cocoa Used in the Manufacturing Is Produced

In a report published by Jornal Valor Econômico, Cacau Show will begin operations of its second factory, located in Linhares, in northern Espírito Santo. The company, one of the leading chocolate producers in Brazil, is expected to invest around R$ 100 million in the establishment of this new factory, which will start operating in 2022. New Cacau Show Project in Espírito Santo

Cacau Show already has a farm in Linhares, where the cocoa used in production is grown. Therefore, the goal of building a new factory in the city is to bring planting closer to production and to become self-sufficient in cocoa cultivation by 2030. Additionally, the company intends to invest in acquiring more land in Espírito Santo for cocoa planting, as well as properties in southern Bahia and Pará.

Currently, Cacau Show has one factory in the city of Itapevi, in São Paulo, where it produces about 20,000 tons of chocolate annually. According to Valor Econômico, the new factory in Linhares will enable the company to increase its production by 25%, generating 210 jobs. 

Other Details About the Company’s New Factory

Furthermore, the new factory will serve as a distribution center for the North and Northeast regions of the country, where the company plans to expand. According to the state government, Cacau Show, in the capixaba territory, is in the process of joining the Investment Incentive Program in the State of Espírito Santo (Invest-ES). Within the incentive, the investment forecast is approximately R$ 67 million.

Already, the mayor of Linhares, Guerino Zanon, celebrated on social media the arrival of Cacau Show’s new factory to the municipality. In an Instagram post, the mayor said he visited the factory in Itapevi in August of this year, along with the municipal secretaries of Agriculture and Development.

“On that day, we finalized the last details with the Industry’s CEO and his team so that we could give this great news to Brazil, to Espírito Santo, and to the people of Linhares, especially to cocoa producers throughout the region, about the installation of Cacau Show’s new factory in our city”, wrote Guerino Zanon.

Fibracem announces that by the end of 2022, it will make an investment of an additional R$ 4 million in the expansion project of its factory located in the city of Linhares, in the state of Espírito Santo. According to the company’s Director of Planning and Operations, Eryck El-Jaick, this new phase of the factory’s expansion will occur to improve infrastructure and acquire cutting-edge equipment. New jobs will be created at the unit in Linhares.

The executive also states that with this additional funding, Fibracem will reach a total of R$ 20 million invested in the factory. The forecast now is that Fibracem’s manufacturing division in Espírito Santo will be responsible for 40% of the company’s total industrial production. The executive also states that this will increase the number of skilled labor to work at the unit. “For this year alone, I believe around 15%,” celebrates Eryck.
