According to ANP data, Petrobras had a 14.6% drop in its oil production in December, not reaching 2 million barrels
The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels – ANP, disclosed that Petrobras, in December, did not reach the production of 2 million barrels of oil and produced 1.98 million barrels per day, 14.6% lower than the 231.9 thousand barrels per day produced in January 2020.

Together with natural gas, the state’s daily production in December was 2.545 million barrels of oil equivalent, a 14% decrease compared to the 2.961 million barrels per day in January, falling short of a record 3.3 million barrels of oil per day recorded in December 2019.
At the end of December, the average daily production of natural gas was 89.9 million cubic meters, compared to 101.9 million cubic meters in January of the same year.

Petrobras Authorized by MME to Import Natural Gas from Bolivia
The Ministry of Mines and Energy – MME accepted Petrobras’ request for natural gas and approved on Tuesday, January 19, the import of up to 5.08 million m³ per day of natural gas from Bolivia, aimed at supplying the thermoelectric market.
The MME’s authorization, valid until February 28 and published in the Official Gazette of the Union on Tuesday, is for a total volume of up to 5.08 million cubic meters per day, on an interruptible basis, as the imports aim to meet the demand of the thermoelectric market. The new MME permission for natural gas operations also includes the possibility of additional imports of up to 1 million cubic meters/day for use in the transportation system.
