HOVSCO, Electric Bicycle Manufacturer, Just Launched a New Model. The “Budget” Electric Bicycle Offers a Range of 130 Km and Can Reach a Top Speed of 45 Km/h.
HOVSCO, a manufacturer from Canada, is known in the cycling world for creating and selling low-cost electric bicycles designed to ride in the city or even on snow-covered streets. This time, another model is joining its lineup, called HovAlpha. Being a “budget” electric bicycle, the model is sturdy, designed to handle nearly all types of terrain, according to the company itself.
“Budget” Electric Bicycle Can Reach 45 Km/h
The model features thick 26-inch (66.04 cm) tires, making it easier to navigate through sand and mud, for example, without much difficulty. For those looking to go further on trails, the HOVSCO bicycle also includes an integrated 80-millimeter suspension fork.
This setup provides a more comfortable ride not only off-road but also in everyday use. Regarding the model’s performance, its Bafang electric motor generates 750 watts with a peak power of 1,032 watts, which is sufficient to tackle steep paths. The vehicle’s top speed is 45 km/h.

How much does it cost to keep the POLO Comfortline TSI 200 in the garage?
As for the battery, the “budget” electric bicycle is equipped with a 960-watt-hour capacity unit integrated into the down tube, a feature that conceals the component and does not significantly impact the model’s design. According to HOVSCO itself, this configuration can provide up to 130 km of range per charge, which is well above average.
New Electric Bicycle Costs R$ 10,640
A torque sensor has also been installed on the model to adjust the level of motor assistance while pedaling in real-time, optimizing battery consumption for even greater range. The electric bicycle also features a 7-speed transmission system and hydraulic disc brakes.
If desired, users can opt for a free-equipped cargo rack. Although the model weighs 33 kg, its payload capacity is 204 kg, another feature appealing to those who need to carry an additional passenger, for example.
The price, at least in foreign countries, is also not disappointing. The bicycle is sold for US$ 2,000 on HOVSCO’s website, a relatively accessible price in Canada. In direct conversion, the model would cost around R$ 10,640 to Brazilians. So far, there is no indication of a release in other countries.
HOVSCO Brings Foldable Bicycle to Market
For cyclists living in cold countries, winter is usually a time to put the bicycle aside and drive a car. HOVSCO aims to change that with its HovBeta 2.0, a reasonably priced foldable two-wheeled vehicle.
Designed to tackle various terrains, the manufacturer claims the model is perfect for riding in the city, on the beach sand, and even on snow-covered streets due to its sturdy 4-inch (10.16 cm) wide tires that do not get stuck easily. The aluminum-designed model is equipped with a powerful 750 W motor.
Its 720-watt-hour battery is hidden in the frame tube and promises a range of up to 60 miles (96.56 km) with pedal assist. In fully electric mode, meaning without pedaling, the range drops to 64 km. Finally, to ensure the vehicle can serve as a car replacement, the Canadian brand offers several options.
