New Base Starts with 20 Thousand Cars, Expands Infrastructure for Electric Models, and Promises to Double Imports by 2025
On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, the city of Cariacica, in Espírito Santo, inaugurates a new logistics center for the automotive sector from Sertrading, a subsidiary of the BTG Pactual group. With an initial structure to handle 20 thousand vehicles between combustion, hybrid, and electric models, the project arrives as a strategic and technological milestone.
In addition, the new center is located over an area of 1.5 million square meters at km 284 of the Contorno Highway (Governador Mário Covas). This geographical position was chosen primarily to ensure agility, safety, and efficiency in operations.
Still, the projected total capacity already reaches an impressive 90 thousand vehicles. This solidifies the space as one of the largest in the country in the automotive logistics segment.

Sertrading Aims to Double Import Volume by Next Year
With operations beginning in June, Sertrading’s expectation is clear: to double the number of vehicles imported in 2025 compared to 2024.
According to company data, this goal will be achieved through ongoing investments, along with technological processes and a robust growth plan.
Thus, the Cariacica unit fits into the company’s national strategy, which has been expanding its operations in key states.
Therefore, the new base not only reinforces the group’s logistics network but also anticipates trends in the transportation of vehicles with new technologies, such as electric ones.
Indeed, the company has sought to play a leading role in logistics corridors. In this context, Espírito Santo emerges as an essential support point for imports in the Southeast.

Strategic Location Boosts Job Creation and New Ventures
Commenting on the inauguration, Mayor Euclério Sampaio stated enthusiastically that Cariacica is experiencing a new cycle of growth.
According to him, the municipality has become increasingly attractive for large investments, especially in logistics and transportation.
“Sertrading’s center represents job creation, income, and improved quality of life for the local population. This demonstrates the potential of our city and the results of a management focused on development,” highlighted Sampaio during a technical visit to the site.
The Secretary of Economic Development, Sandro Heleno Gomes de Souza, emphasized that the establishment of the unit confirms the favorable moment for the municipality’s business environment.
As he explained, Cariacica’s privileged location fosters connections with the entire national territory, besides attracting new production chains to the metropolitan region of Vitória.
Espírito Santo Solidifies Its Logistics Role with Automotive Mega Investment
Consequently, Sertrading’s new venture is expected to intensify Espírito Santo’s logistical role in the national scenario.
The state, which already has efficient port infrastructure and an integrated road network, now has a base prepared to meet global automotive sector demands.
In addition to increasing the supply of logistics services, the center will operate with international standards of control, traceability, and sustainability.
This positions it among the most modern in Latin America.
Thus, the inauguration aligns with a movement for smart reindustrialization, leveraging local resources and existing infrastructure.
Therefore, by strengthening this ecosystem, Cariacica enhances its importance not only regionally but also strategically for the country.
Expansion Integrates BTG Pactual’s National Plan and Reinforces Decentralization Trend
As reported by Sertrading, the project is part of the national logistics expansion plan of the BTG Pactual group.
By decentralizing operations and distributing specialized centers across Brazil, the company aims to respond swiftly to the growing demand for imported and electric vehicles.
Additionally, this decentralization promotes the competitiveness of companies operating in Brazil.
At the same time, it reduces bottlenecks and fosters a more agile business model.
In summary, the center in Cariacica represents more than just a new space. It symbolizes a new phase for the automotive and logistics sector in Espírito Santo.
