CEMIG Creates Solar Energy Program and Will Offer Discounts on the Electricity Bills of Its Subscribers

CEMIG created a solar energy subscription system, where consumers can register and receive discounts on their monthly electricity bills. The registration for energy subscription pre-sales is already available for residential market customers. Customers who have already pre-registered will receive a 15% discount on the monthly fee, and there is no obligation to fulfill a loyalty period.

This subscription service provides significant savings on consumers’ electricity bills. Additionally, it reduces environmental impacts by using solar energy, which is a renewable source. There is also no need for installation work, meaning that the customer does not have to make any kind of investment to hire the service.

Solar Energy by Subscription

Solar energy is generated remotely in areas with favorable solar radiation, such as the north and northwest of Minas Gerais, reaching consumers through the distribution network, thereby reducing the electricity bill.

In July, the company highlighted two generation models: mini-generation and micro-generation. These models allow customers to have their own generating center from renewable sources. Besides the savings on the electricity bill, you generate your own energy to offset your invoice.

As highlighted by Willian Souza, the Energy Solutions Executive at CEMIG SIM, the system operates connected to the distributor, and the energy generated is compensated against the total consumption of the property.

Additionally, savings can reach 95% on the electricity bill, and the customer will only bear the full cost of demand. Registration can be done through the website www.leveosolparasuacasa.com.br, created by Cemig SIM.
