The new substations will be remotely controlled through Cemig's distribution operations center. The new substations will have an integrated supervision, command, control and protection system, allowing operators to carry out the necessary interventions remotely on high voltage equipment.
Approximately R$ 66 million will be invested in several modernization projects for the 8 existing substations and 11 distribution lines, with the objective of integrating the Varginha 4 substation of the basic network of Mantiqueira Transmissora de Energia to Cemig's energy distribution system. This investment will provide greater operational flexibility, allowing for greater division of the circuit.
