Chevrolet Will Launch 5 Cars in Brazil at Once: Onix, Onix Plus, Tracker, Spark EUV, and Captiva. See What Changes in the Models and When They Arrive at Dealerships
The Brazilian automotive market is preparing for a busy month of July. Chevrolet has just announced that it will present five new models at once, in a bold move aimed at strengthening its presence in strategic segments and expanding its offer of electric vehicles in the country. The highlights will be the updated versions of the Onix, Onix Plus, and Tracker, in addition to the debut of two brand-new electric models: the Spark EUV and the Captiva EV.
The confirmation came from Fábio Rua, vice president of General Motors in South America, during an automaker event in Detroit (USA). According to the executive, all details about the models will be revealed at the major event scheduled for July 8, although not all prices will be disclosed immediately.
Onix and Tracker Range Receives Important Updates
After more than four years in the market, Chevrolet’s best-selling models in Brazil were more than ready for a visual and technological update. Both the Onix and Onix Plus, produced in Gravataí (RS), and the Tracker, manufactured in São Caetano do Sul (SP), will receive important changes in the 2026 lineup.

Ford confirms the electric van Transit City for Brazil in 2026 with up to 250 km of range, fast charging in 30 minutes, and a focus on urban deliveries as last-mile logistics gain traction in the country.

Larger than the Toyota Hilux and with a range of 71.9 km/l, the new Jetour F700 PHEV emerges with 1,631 hp, four electric motors, charging from 20% to 80% in 10 minutes, and a size close to the Ram 1500.
For the Onix and Onix Plus, the main update will be at the front. Chevrolet will adopt a more modern look, with narrower headlights and very thin LED guides, as well as a new grille with more prominent horizontal bars. At the rear, the Onix is expected to maintain the same shape for the taillights, with new internal graphics. The same type of change is expected for the Onix Plus sedan.
In the mechanical set, the configurations adapted to the latest requirements of Proconve L8 will stay. The 1.0 flex aspirated engine delivers 80 hp with gasoline and 82 hp with ethanol, while the 1.0 turbo engine develops 116 hp with gasoline and 121 hp with ethanol. These are known figures but updated to meet the new emission standards.

Tracker Mild Hybrid Brings Renewed Look
One of the best-selling SUVs in the country, the Chevrolet Tracker, will also undergo a visual and technological transformation. The model will feature a front inspired by the recent pickup Montana, with a bigger front grille, sharper headlights, and new LED visual signatures. The bumpers will also be redesigned, and the SUV will get new wheels. At the rear, the taillights will have new internal elements, adding a more sophisticated air.
Inside, the SUV will have a new, larger multimedia center, inspired by the system used in the Chevrolet Trax in the U.S., an update that is expected to please Brazilian consumers.
The major mechanical novelty will be the introduction of the 48V mild hybrid (MHEV) system in the versions with a 1.2 turbo engine. This system does not directly drive the wheels but improves energy efficiency and fuel consumption, offering a more sophisticated solution than the 12V system seen in competitors like the Fiat Pulse and the Fastback. Performance figures for the engine are expected to change from the current 141 hp and 22.9 kgfm.
Additionally, the entry versions of the Tracker will continue to offer the 1.0 turbo engine, with 116 hp on gasoline and 121 hp on ethanol, always with an automatic transmission.

Spark EUV: Compact Electric Challenges the Chinese
In light of the rise of Chinese brands in the entry-level electric market, Chevrolet has responded by bringing the all-new Spark EUV to Brazil. Produced in China in partnership with Wuling, the model arrives to compete with rivals like the BYD Dolphin Mini.
Despite its compact size, the Spark EUV will have a generous cargo capacity of 385 liters in the trunk, surpassing even many combustion hatchbacks. Its electric motor delivers 102 hp of power and 18.4 kgfm of torque, powered by a 41.9 kWh battery. According to the Chinese WLTC cycle, the estimated range is 400 km, but we will need to wait for Brazilian homologation to confirm the numbers in our market.
The Spark has already been presented at events such as Chevrolet’s centenary in Brazil and in promotional actions at BBB 25, generating significant interest among consumers.
The Return of the Captiva as a 100% Electric SUV
Another highlight of Chevrolet’s new offensive will be the Captiva EV, marking the return of the Captiva name to the brand’s portfolio in Brazil. This time, however, the SUV will arrive in a fully electric configuration, derived from the Chinese model Wuling Starlight S.
The electric Captiva will mainly rival the BYD Yuan Pro, positioned in the competitive segment of compact electric SUVs. The new model will feature a 204 hp motor, powered by a 60 kWh LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery pack. The range, according to the Chinese WLTC cycle, could reach an impressive 510 km, one of the highest figures in the category.
This launch reinforces GM’s strategy to expand its lineup of electric vehicles in Brazil and keep pace with the growth of charging infrastructure in cities across the country.

Chevrolet Bets Big on the Second Half
The event scheduled for July 8 promises to be a landmark in Chevrolet’s strategy for the Brazilian market. With five simultaneous launches, bringing updates in design, technology, and efficiency, the brand aims to reinforce its leadership in volume segments and solidify its presence in the electric market.
GM’s offensive comes at an important moment, with consumers increasingly attentive to technological innovations and the growing offer of electric vehicles. In the coming days, the automaker is expected to reveal more details about the new models, including equipment, prices, and arrival dates at dealerships.
