China surprised the world at the Airshow China 2024 in Zhuhai by unveiling the GDF-600, an impressive hypersonic vehicle capable of reaching speeds of up to Mach 7 and carrying up to 1,2 tons of aerial submunitions. The GDF-600 is the brainchild of China's Guangdong Academy of Aerodynamics Research (GARA). Designed for multi-role operations, the hypersonic vehicle has a flight range of up to 600 km and is capable of carrying out rapid and precise strikes, as well as reconnaissance and electronic warfare missions.
