The Research Conducted by ANP Showed That Gasoline Was Found at R$ 5.09 in Gas Stations in the City of Passos, Southwest of Minas Gerais
Residents of the city of Passos, in the Southwest of Minas Gerais, are purchasing a liter of gasoline for less compared to the rest of Brazil. This is confirmed by the research conducted by the ANP (National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels) between July 17 and 23.
The ANP study showed that gasoline sold at some gas stations in the municipality of Minas Gerais has the lowest price practiced in Brazilian territory. The fuel was found at R$ 5.09 per liter, and ethanol was also considered the cheapest in Minas, with prices at $ 3.79 per liter.

ANP also stated that Passos, in Minas Gerais, has the second lowest average price for regular gasoline in Brazil (R$ 5.28), only behind the city of Macapá, capital of Amapá (R$ 5.26).

Gasoline Price Varies in All States of Brazil
In Passos, Minas Gerais, gasoline prices can vary from R$ 5.09 to R$ 5.79 according to the research conducted by ANP that consulted eight gas stations.
The government had already made a reduction on the Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS) from 31% to 18% on July 1.
The state of Minas Gerais also reduced the tax on electricity from 30% to 18% and on communications from 27% to 18%.
Since the beginning of July, based on ANP data, the average amount paid to refuel vehicles with gasoline has fallen by more than 20% in Passos and São Sebastião do Paraíso.
